Terms and Conditions

Welcome to East Hampton Laundry LLC (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By using our dry cleaning pickup and delivery service (“Service”), you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Service Overview
We provide scheduled pickup and delivery of garments and other items for dry cleaning, laundering, and related services.

2. Scheduling and Access

  • Customers must schedule pickups and deliveries through our website.
  • Customers are responsible for providing safe and secure access to the location at the agreed time.
  • If we are unable to access the location or retrieve items, a missed pickup fee of $25 will be charged to the card on file.

3. Garment Care and Handling

  • We follow industry best practices, including adherence to garment labels and manufacturer instructions.
  • By submitting garments, you confirm they are safe for dry cleaning or laundering.
  • We are not responsible for items without care labels or for damage due to the inherent risks of certain fabrics or materials.

4. Liability and Limitations
We are not responsible for:

  • Non-clothing items left in bags (e.g., keys, earphones)
  • Normal wear and tear during cleaning, including shrinkage, fading, broken zippers, or missing buttons
  • Color fading due to non-fast dyes or prior exposure to sunlight or chemicals
  • Pre-existing damage or fabric deterioration
  • Inability to remove all stains
  • Lost clothing items

If an item is lost or damaged due to our fault, you must notify us in writing within 7 days of delivery, including details and supporting evidence. At our discretion, we may offer reimbursement of up to $200 per item and $500 per order.

Any reimbursement from East Hampton Laundry is secondary to any warranty provided by the clothing manufacturer. For example, if your item is covered under a manufacturer’s warranty, you must first contact them and provide proof of that communication before requesting reimbursement from us.

East Hampton Laundry takes great care during pickups and deliveries. However, in the rare event of property damage, our liability is limited to $500 per incident. By using our services, you agree that this amount represents the full extent of our responsibility.

5. Lost or Damaged Items

  • Claims must be submitted within 7 days of delivery.
  • We reserve the right to inspect and attempt resolution before issuing reimbursement or credit.

6. Turnaround Time

  • Standard turnaround is 3 business days.
  • Delays may occur due to holidays, weather, or other unforeseen issues.
  • Express service may be available for an additional fee—please inquire.

7. Billing & Payment Terms

  • Payment is required in full at the time of cleaning unless otherwise agreed.
  • We accept all major credit and debit cards.
  • Declined cards may result in service suspension or added fees.
  • We use a third-party payment processor (currently Clearent) to handle payments. By using our services, you agree to pay all charges via your linked payment method. Payment processing is subject to the processor’s terms and privacy policy, available at:

You authorize us, via the processor, to charge your selected payment method. If payment is not received, you agree to pay any outstanding balance upon request. We reserve the right to correct billing errors even after payment has been processed.

8. Unclaimed Items
Items not claimed within 30 days of attempted delivery will be considered abandoned and may be donated or discarded at our discretion.

9. Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • Pickups and deliveries may be canceled or rescheduled up to 12 hours in advance without charge.
  • Cancellations or no-shows within 12 hours will incur a $25 fee.

10. Privacy Policy

  • We respect your privacy. Your personal information is used only to process orders and deliver services. We do not share or sell your data to third parties.
  • We may disclose personal data to affiliates, who must also follow this policy.
  • We may share your information with third parties that help us deliver services, including messaging providers and platform vendors.

11. Modifications
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.

12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles.
